Job Title: Data Analyst, Index (12-month fixed term contract)

CoinDesk is a leading media, events, indices, and data company for the global crypto economy. Acquired by the Bullish Group in November 2023, CoinDesk operates as an independent subsidiary, focused on providing trusted insights, news, and data related to the digital asset ecosystem.
Role & Responsibilities
β’ Oversee and run validation models for indices.
β’ Perform index reconstitutions using Python and other tools.
β’ Prepare and distribute index announcements.
β’ Set up and test new indices and reference rates.
β’ Test and deploy updates to models.
β’ Address client inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
β’ Create and maintain documentation for processes and controls.
β’ Identify and recommend improvements to processes.
β’ Review and update index methodologies.
β’ Collaborate with analysts to ensure tasks are completed.
β’ Work with engineers on technical requirements and testing releases.
Requirements
β’ Minimum 2 years of experience as a quantitative developer.
β’ Strong Excel and Python skills.
β’ Solid knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
β’ Experience with time series data and large datasets.
β’ Understanding of financial markets and derivatives.
β’ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
β’ Familiarity with APIs and streaming data is a plus.
