Data Analyst

Position: Data Analyst Location: Plano, Texas Duration: Contract Job ID: 169583 Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Plano, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent technical skills, and the ability to uncover business needs and provide actionable insights. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, creating interactive dashboards, and presenting data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: • Uncover business needs and frame analysis to address key questions. • Leverage SQL, Python, or R to pull and organize data for analysis. • Apply creative problem-solving and statistical methods to find insights in data. • Assess the impacts of potential actions on customers, employees, and the company. • Recommend actions through data storytelling using PowerPoint, Tableau, and clear communication. • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement and measure recommended actions. • Build relationships with key stakeholders across various departments. • Continuously improve analytical, technical, and communication skills for career advancement. • Develop subject matter expertise in the business area by understanding strategies, processes, and data. • Guide and mentor other analysts on best practices for analysis and data storytelling. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related STEM field. • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis. • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R (will be tested during interviews). • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau for data visualization. • Strong problem-solving skills in data acquisition, manipulation, cleaning, analysis, and presentation. • Basic knowledge of statistics. • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to propose strategic recommendations and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to uncover insights in data. • Ability to collaborate effectively with others. • Experience providing data and analytics support, including dashboard creation and data analysis. Preferred Qualifications: • MBA or Master’s degree in an analytical field. • Background in Auto Finance or Consumer Lending industries. • Professional experience in areas covered by the Analytics Job Family. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of statistics.
