Key Responsibilities
Data Migration & ETL
β’ Process and migrate large-scale datasets across: PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Google BigQuery
β’ Develop and execute ETL workflows for genome editing data platforms
Cloud & Data Platform Support
β’ Work with: AWS cloud services, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Enterprise data assets
β’ Support scalable data-driven pipelines for crop genome editing initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
β’ Partner with: Data scientists, Backend engineering teams, Breeding & Biotech teams
β’ Contribute to fast-paced data modernization initiatives
Data Analysis & Engineering Support
β’ Generate, manipulate, and validate large datasets
β’ Support agile development and Git-based workflows
β’ Deliver high-quality technical and analytical contributions
Must Haves:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in: Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or Related field
β’ Strong proficiency in: Python, SQL, R,
β’ Experience with: AWS, Google Cloud services, ETL processes, Large dataset manipulation
β’ Hands-on experience with: PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, BigQuery
β’ Familiarity with: Git, GitHub, Agile environments
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills
β’ Ability to work in fast-paced data environments
Preferred Experience
β’ Biological science datasets
β’ Bioinformatics or genomics data
β’ M.S. degree
β’ 3+ years relevant industry experience
