Role description
Data Analyst – Contract (6 months) | Hybrid / Remote | £350–£450/day
Are you a data analyst who thrives on complex challenges and wants to make a real impact in the finance tech infrastructure space? We’re working with a leading organisation that’s investing heavily in data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
What you’ll do:
• Analyse and visualise large, complex internal datasets (hundreds of thousands of records) to drive insights for technology and supplier asset management.
• Build and update dashboards and reports in Tableau, ensuring clarity and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into compelling data stories.
• Cleanse, profile, and model data using SQL, DBT, and Snowflake.
• Contribute to projects involving cloud data infrastructure (AWS preferred, especially S3; experience with other platforms also valued).
• Support the evolution of data processes - potential to get involved in broader SQL, DBT, and AWS financial data projects.
What we’re looking for:
• Proven expertise in Tableau (development and design), with a strong portfolio or Tableau Public profile.
• Advanced SQL skills; hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT is a plus.
• Experience working with large datasets and performing data profiling and cleansing.
• Familiarity with AWS (especially S3; Lambda less important), or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with IT asset management is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills - able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to get up to speed quickly and work independently within a high-performing team.
The details:
• 6-month contract, with the possibility to start as soon as possible (target: 10th November).
• Hybrid working - typically one day in the office every other week.
• Join a team of four analysts (this will be the fifth member), working alongside both contractors and permanent staff.
• Two-stage interview process: first with the hiring manager, then with a senior technology leader.
• If you’re interested, please send your CV, a contact number, and a link to your Tableau Public profile or data visualisation portfolio. Let us know your availability for a quick call to discuss further.
