Role description
BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE/DATA ANALYST OPPORTUNITY - PHOENIX, AZ This consultant performs complex analytical and technical tasks to support organizational objectives for our client. This role is responsible for data analysis, data mining, report development, and the design, testing, and execution of both standard and ad hoc reporting solutions. The analyst works with multiple data sources and business intelligence tools to deliver insights aligned with strategic goals. About This Role: • 2-year contract (potential for extension) • High preference for candidates local to Phoenix, AZ • Must have Salesforce Marketing Cloud and SQL experience Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Design and develop reports using data analysis, SQL development, and data mining techniques across platforms such as Tableau, Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud • Create and manage customer Journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email and SMS communications • Extract, import, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple systems • Write and optimize SQL queries and work within MS Access and DB2 environments • Develop standard and ad hoc reports, including detailed, summary, historical, snapshot, and drill-down formats • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets • Create report specifications, test plans, and supporting documentation; coordinate production deployments • Establish and maintain data connections across multiple data sources • Configure report scheduling, subscriptions, access controls, and delivery methods • Present data through tables, charts, graphs, and dashboards tailored to technical and non-technical audiences • Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement • Track and follow up on remediation efforts • Develop documentation, workflows, and desk aids for diverse audiences • Participate in projects and pilots by gathering requirements, providing technical input, and supporting implementation timelines • Develop and deploy SSIS packages for data integration and processing • Create Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to automate repetitive, rule-based tasks Qualifications • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud • Working knowledge of SQL (Standard Query Language) • Experience with UI Path (Robotic Process Automation) is a plus • Knowledge of business intelligence tools including SQL, SSIS, MS Visual Studio, Tableau, Visual Basic, and MS Access • Understanding of dimensional and relational database design • Familiarity with statistical analysis and research methodologies • Knowledge of IT lifecycle, system design, and performance tuning • Understanding of data privacy, security policies, and confidentiality practices • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities • Skilled in reporting, data visualization, and RPA technologies • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences • Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and reports • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines • Ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets to generate actionable insights • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement
