Role description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Analyst to support one of our largest material handling logistics clients in Columbus, Indiana. This data analyst will be responsible for independently collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing large telematics datasets to uncover trends in customer behavior, product performance, and engagement. The analyst develops and owns executive‑level Power BI dashboards, writes and optimizes advanced SQL queries across Snowflake and other data sources, and uses Python to automate analyses and support repeatable reporting. They translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that improve the telematics customer experience on forklift trucks, partnering closely with product, engineering, and customer‑facing teams to influence priorities and operational improvements. The role presents findings to senior leaders, responds to urgent analytical requests while balancing long‑term initiatives, ensures data accuracy and documentation, and supports ad hoc analyses tied to customer experience and strategic initiatives.
Must haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience as a data analyst
• SQL
• Snowflake
• Python scripting for analysis, automation, and visualization
• Power BI to create dashboards w/ ability to present to executive audiences
• Understanding of analytical methods, tend analysis, and data driven storytelling
Plusses:
• Experience with JMP statistical software
• Experience analyzing IoT, telematics, or connected device data
• Background in manufacturing, industrial equipment, logistics, or fleet management environments
• Familiarity with customer experience metrics, usage analytics, and product adoption analysis
• Experience working cross functionally in a product or engineering driven organization
$40/hr to $52/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
