Optomi, in partnership with a finance company, is seeking a Data Analyst to support the modernization of our reporting and data processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex, Excel-based datasets and transforming them into structured, scalable solutions.
Job Qualifications:
β’ Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools
β’ Experience using Python (Pandas) for data manipulation
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL
β’ Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large, complex workbooks
β’ Experience analyzing and transforming data from multiple sources
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
β’ Ability to gather and translate business requirements into data solutions
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Work directly with stakeholders to understand the purpose, logic, and business use of complex Excel-based reports
β’ Analyze and deconstruct large Excel workbooks that consolidate data from multiple sources
β’ Transform raw and unstructured data into clean, structured datasets for reporting
β’ Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and organize data into usable formats
β’ Use dbt to help build and maintain data models for reporting
β’ Leverage Python (Pandas) as needed for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis
β’ Support the transition from manual Excel processes to automated, scalable data workflows
β’ Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reporting outputs
β’ Collaborate with data engineers and business teams to improve data accessibility and usability
