About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst - Multimodal to join our dynamic team at BCD Travel. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our consulting initiatives within the Advito division, focusing on multimodal travel data encompassing air, car, and rail services. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing complex datasets, developing insightful reports and dashboards, and collaborating with global project teams to optimize client travel programs. You will work closely with program managers to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision-making through data analytics, contribute to process enhancements, and participate in innovative projects aimed at transforming corporate travel management. The role is remote, allowing flexibility and the chance to work with international teams while contributing to high-impact projects that shape the future of corporate travel.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Hotel Industry Procurement, or a related quantitative field
• Proven experience as a Data or Business Analyst, with a strong track record of manipulating and extracting value from datasets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, report generation, data connections), Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, AWS Quicksight, or Python is advantageous
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data manipulation commands
• Familiarity with GDS systems, air program management, and hotel sales is a plus
• Understanding of business rules, processes, and their impact on data reporting
• Experience in data governance and data quality management is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data insights
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Curiosity and critical thinking skills to explore industry trends and data opportunities
• Interest in working with diverse, international, cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with program managers to understand and prioritize business and data needs
• Diagnose and resolve data and reporting issues to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Create, maintain, and customize reports and dashboards to answer key business questions
• Analyze travel spend data across air, car, and rail modalities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Leverage statistical techniques and analytics tools to provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Support client presentations with data-driven insights and strategic proposals
• Participate in the development and testing of data products, ensuring quality standards are met
• Contribute to process improvements, data governance, and data quality initiatives
• Maintain effective communication with global project teams to ensure alignment on objectives and timelines
