Role description
Position Summary Expert data analyst in IGP-s will support with portfolio analysis, data extraction from various data sources, creating simple visualizations and stories based off of extracted data. The successful candidate is an independent thinker, a clear/concise communicator, who thrives in cross functional positions, who can analyze and understand the data with minimum feedback, and deliver complete stories or actionable insights. Responsibilities: Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and strategic improvements. Collect, clean, and integrate data from various sources, including SAP, Foundry, GIS, and Copperleaf, to support business operations and asset planning. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights and performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify challenges, and translate them into data-driven solutions. Extract and analyze various data from SAP to support decisions. Utilize Foundry for advanced analytics, and data modeling. Apply GIS tools for spatial data analysis and mapping to support location-based decision-making. Respond to data requests. Leverage Copperleaf for asset investment planning, lifecycle cost analysis, and value-based decision support. Creates automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts Demonstrates and utilizes broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and applies this knowledge to a number of different issues. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience. Familiarity with utility operations. Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA) Excellent at Power Bi and Tableau and other Business Intelligence and analytics software Advanced skill in writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects Strong knowledge of base-SAS and programming language such as Visual Basic, Perl, C in addition to Python Desired Qualifications: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights Ability to clearly communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in cross-functional teams and translating business needs into data-driven solutions.
