Role description
We respectfully request that 3rd parties refrain from contacting us regarding this posting. Overview LABUR is supporting a client through a complex data transition initiative focused on modernizing their client reporting platform. This engagement centers on shifting SimCorp Coric from reliance on an internal accounting system to consuming data delivered through an external data platform. To support this effort, the client requires an experienced Data Analyst with deep investment accounting expertise and hands-on experience across both SimCorp Coric and State Street Alpha. This engagement will work closely with business, technology, and operations stakeholders to lead critical data mapping, validation, and testing activities, ensuring accuracy, continuity, and a successful platform cutover. Responsibilities β€’ Lead the end-to-end data mapping effort for our client, aligning State Street Alpha’s data model to SimCorp Coric’s Unified Data Model (UDM). β€’ Analyze and document the client’s current-state data flows and define the future-state Alpha-sourced architecture for Coric reporting. β€’ Partner with client stakeholders across technology, operations, accounting, and reporting to define mapping logic, transformation rules, and data dependencies. β€’ Design, execute, and support client-facing data validation and reconciliation testing, including: β€’ Source-to-target comparisons. β€’ Position, transaction, cash, and performance validations. β€’ Exception analysis and root-cause investigation. β€’ Coordinate and support client testing cycles (unit, system, and UAT), ensuring issues are clearly documented and resolved. β€’ Act as a subject-matter expert for the client on investment accounting data within the Alpha–Coric integration. β€’ Produce and maintain client-ready documentation, including mapping specifications, test scripts, and validation results. β€’ Support client cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization to ensure reporting continuity and data accuracy. Qualifications β€’ 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst supporting asset management, wealth management, or financial services clients. β€’ Strong investment accounting domain expertise (positions, transactions, cash, corporate actions, pricing, performance). β€’ Hands-on SimCorp Coric experience, including familiarity with the Unified Data Model (UDM). β€’ Direct experience with State Street Alpha, including Alpha Data Platform integrations or data feeds. β€’ Proven experience supporting client-facing data conversions or platform migrations. β€’ Strong SQL and analytical skills with the ability to explain findings clearly to client stakeholders. β€’ Experience supporting clients transitioning from legacy accounting platforms. β€’ Familiarity with additional investment platforms (CRD, Eagle, Advent). β€’ Strong communication skills and comfort working in client-led delivery environments. Compensation $95 - $105 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
