Role description
We are partnering with a well-known digital marketing agency in the Detroit area to add a Data Analyst to their Operations team. This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) offering the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects that impact marketing, product performance, and executive decision-making.
This role is responsible for delivering data services, governance, architecture, and visualization solutions β including ingestion, transformation, and reporting for product performance, digital consumer behavior, field operations, and executive-level analytics.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Ingest, clean, and organize data from multiple internal and external sources into analytics platforms.
β’ Develop and implement business rules for data acceptance, translation, and mapping.
β’ Transform raw data feeds into consistent, accurate, and easily refreshable datasets for reporting and modeling.
β’ Partner with stakeholders to design, enhance, and maintain reports and dashboards using modern analytics tools.
β’ Identify key data relationships and design efficient solutions using data blending tools.
β’ Curate and prepare datasets for team and partner use, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
β’ Manage multiple priorities β define project plans, estimate levels of effort, and track progress against milestones.
β’ Facilitate clear communication and alignment across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience & Skills:
β’ 5+ years of experience in analytics, research, business intelligence, or IT.
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering β ideally within digital marketing, advertising, or automotive industries.
β’ Strong expertise in data automation, streamlining repetitive tasks using various software tools.
β’ Proven ability to create data visualizations, dashboards, and executive reports that drive business decisions.
β’ Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Alteryx, and SQL for data manipulation and translation.
β’ Skilled in Business Intelligence tools such as Domo, Datorama, Tableau, or QlikView.
β’ Familiarity with APIs, RSS feeds, and web services.
