Job Title: Data Analyst - Sales Performance & Analytics
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with possible extension & conversion to full-time)
Location: Arden Hills, MN 55112 (Hybrid Role)
Position Overview
• We are seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst III to support sales strategy and performance within a global service organization.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales analytics, with hands-on experience using data to drive business decisions, optimize service revenue, and support sales execution.
• This role is focused on analyzing performance, building insights, and partnering with business leaders to implement effective sales and service strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze sales and service performance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for revenue growth. Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
• Reporting & Dashboarding: Develop and maintain ongoing reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses using Tableau and other tools to track key performance indicators and support business understanding.
• Strategic Support: Partner with sales, service, and regional teams to develop and execute service sales plans, capital equipment strategies, and global service offerings.
• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate monthly alignment meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and increase contract and billable service revenues.
• Product Lifecycle Coordination: Attend new product launch and end-of-life meetings to coordinate service activities and strategies.
• System & Process Optimization: Participate in audits and analyses to ensure data accuracy, reporting optimization, and identify new analytic opportunities.
Qualifications & Required Experience
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree + 6–9 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's degree (MBA preferred) + 4–7 years of relevant experience.
Mandatory Skills (3-5+ Years Hands-On Experience):
• Sales Analytics: Proven background in analyzing and driving sales performance.
• Tableau: Advanced proficiency; must be able to jump in immediately.
• Enterprise Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP and Salesforce.
• Analytical Storytelling: Strong ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and present insights clearly to influence business decisions ("tell the story").
• Preferred Systems Experience:
• GSMS (Global Service Management System)
• Experience in finance, auditing, statistical analysis, data management, or sales operations.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Background in project management.
• Excellent partnership-building and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
