Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst (SFIA Level 3) with a strong foundation in Python and/or SQL to join our consulting team. This role involves working in multidisciplinary teams to prepare, analyse, and visualise data to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in ensuring data quality, linking datasets, and presenting insights in an accessible and meaningful way for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Data Preparation and Linkage Ensure new and existing data models and pipelines are reusable and reproducible. Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues. Prepare, clean, and transform data to ensure it is fit for purpose. Data Analysis and Synthesis Undertake data profiling and source system analysis. Present insights clearly and concisely to colleagues, supporting effective use of data. Data Visualisation Select and apply appropriate data visualisation techniques to tell focused, goal-driven stories. Develop inclusive and accessible visualisations that cater to diverse user needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure visualisations meet information requirements. Making Effective Decisions Understand personal level of responsibility and empower others to make decisions where appropriate. Analyse and apply a range of credible information sources to support decision-making. Engage with stakeholders to consider the impact of decisions on end users. Skills & Experience Required Working knowledge of Python and/or SQL. Experience with data preparation, cleansing, and quality resolution. Strong analytical skills and experience in data profiling. Ability to present insights clearly through effective visualisations. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams. Understanding of SFIA Level 3 competencies. Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance.
