Role description
Tatum by Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst. This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to a critical project focused on data analysis within capital markets. Work Schedule: Hybrid (3/2) in Charlotte, NC. What You'll Do: As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in developing a robust control framework for our client's capital markets data. Your core responsibilities will include: β€’ Data Sourcing and Analysis: Pulling together data and ensuring its integrity. This includes performing reconciliations between finance and trading systems to guarantee alignment. β€’ Control Design: Partnering closely with IT to design and document a control framework. β€’ Process and Operations: Taking an operational focus, you'll be responsible for process design and daily control operations. You will also create dashboards to visualize and monitor key data. β€’ Market Risk Support: Supporting the market risk team by identifying and escalating exceptions, and coordinating root cause analysis and remediation efforts. β€’ Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with the sourcing and capital teams, and effectively articulating technical concepts to technology partners. The ideal candidate will have: β€’ A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. β€’ A strong understanding of capital markets, market risk, and the full data supply chain. β€’ Expertise in SQL, including the ability to explain and apply all four types of joins. You will be asked to demonstrate your knowledge of using SQL for data manipulation, integrity, and visualization. β€’ Proven experience in data mining. β€’ A working knowledge of Python is a plus. β€’ A strong understanding of the operational components of a data control and its lifecycle. β€’ The ability to document your work, including explaining the purpose and logic behind your SQL queries. β€’ An understanding of what an "inventory master" is and the difference between front-line, second-line, front office, and back office roles.
