Data Analyst Senior

Senior Data Analyst On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data Analyst for a 3-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Chicago office. Job Description: The Senior Data Analyst will support a large AML rule migration by analyzing and reconciling outputs between a legacy platform and SAS Viya. This role is focused on business reporting and analytical judgment, not quantitative modeling or algorithm development. Responsibilities: Executing and validating AML rules in SAS Viya Comparing outputs against legacy systems Investigating discrepancies down to record-level detail Determining whether differences can be resolved or must be documented Producing clear documentation explaining variances and logic changes Communicating findings to stakeholders in clear, business-friendly language Mandatory Skills: 5–7 years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Reporting Strong SQL (joins, aggregations, CTEs) SAS experience (Base, DATA step, PROC SQL) or strong SQL with ability to adapt to SAS Proven experience interpreting results and explaining “why” differences exist Nice-to-Have Skills: AML domain experience Financial services background Payments data experience (preferred): Wires, SWIFT, Payments data more broadly Prior experience with system or rule migrations Familiarity with SAS Viya Assignment Length: This is a 3-month contract position. Start Date: ASAP Assignment Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 2 days in the office per week.
