Job#: 2088451 Job Description: Data Analyst – Finance Application Modernization Location: Onsite – McLean, VA Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) Duration: 3 Months Pay Rate: Competitive Position Overview: We are launching a major initiative to modernize Finance applications connected to a large-scale corporate data warehouse. This transformation involves updating legacy systems and platforms to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption. Were seeking experienced Data Analysts who are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in data mapping, ETL processes, and enterprise data environments. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies across applications and systems. • Analyze Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and ETL code to support modernization goals. • Define and document data requirements for Finance and Accounting systems. • Create comprehensive data mapping documents detailing flows, transformations, and system interactions. • Develop and validate complex SQL queries for data analysis and migration. • Map source-to-target tables/columns and define derivation logic for modernization efforts. • Ensure thorough documentation and traceability of data lineage and mapping activities. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or related fields. • Strong understanding of ETL processes and ability to interpret ETL code. • Hands-on experience with tools such as DataStage, Informatica, SAS, and Python. • Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries. • Proven ability to work with enterprise-scale systems and create detailed data mapping documentation. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
