Role description
Position: Econometric Data Analyst (Stata SE) Type: Analyst Compensation: $20 - $100/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities • Design and implement advanced econometric models using Stata SE, with a focus on panel data and causal inference techniques • Develop, maintain, and optimize do-files for efficient data management, analysis automation, and reproducible workflows • Conduct rigorous data cleaning, transformation, and validation of large-scale datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability • Deliver clear, actionable insights through well-documented code, technical reports, and presentations tailored for academic and policy stakeholders • Collaborate closely with our customer's team to understand project objectives, communicate findings, and iterate on analysis as needed • Stay updated on best practices in econometric research and Stata SE functionalities, proactively sharing knowledge with peers • Ensure that all research outputs meet high standards of reproducibility, transparency, and ethical data handling Requirements • Expert proficiency in Stata SE with experience in econometric modeling and automation via do-files • Advanced understanding of panel data analysis, causal inference methods, and large dataset optimization techniques • Strong skills in data cleaning, preparation, and validation for complex statistical analysis • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to clarity and detail • Proven ability to document processes and present findings to diverse audiences in academic or policy contexts • Experience producing reproducible research outputs and maintaining analytic integrity • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of thriving in a fully remote environment • Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field • Prior experience collaborating on projects for academic or policy-focused institutions • Familiarity with complementary statistical tools or programming languages (e.g., R, Python) Application Process (Takes 20 Mins) • Upload resume • Interview (15 min) • Submit form
