Role description
Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to support our client in a hybrid capacity in Richmond, VA with a Fortune 100 client. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
β’ 4+Β years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data using SQL, SAS, or UNIX
β’ 4+ years of hands-on experience working Β AWS environments
β’ 4+ years of experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau
β’ 4+ years of experience scripting with Python,Β R, Pyspark
β’ Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL, Python, and AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift)
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders
β’ Ability to perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy
β’ Capable of identifying and resolving data quality issues while supporting ongoing data governance efforts
Desired:
β’ Experience managing and building datasets in Snowflake and/or Databricks
β’ Prior experience in a financial services or large enterprise environment
β’ Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance standards
Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze and communicate data insights across cross-functional teams
β’ Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support critical projects in card modernization
β’ Develop dashboards, queries, and real-time visualizations using industry-standard tools
β’ Support the transition of external systems to internal infrastructure
β’ Enable modernization by leveraging cloud-based data tools and practices
β’ Translate business needs into scalable technical data solutions aligned with enterprise goals
