Job Responsibilities
β’ Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
β’ Strong ability to work independently and manage oneβs time.
β’ Strong leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
β’ Strong knowledge of database management software.
Skills
β’ Review and approve the testing of programs or databases.
β’ Review existing databases and database management systems, and direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
β’ Coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
β’ Review project requests to describe database user needs and estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.
β’ Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
β’ Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
β’ Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.
Education/Experience
β’ Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
