Role description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst 2 – Data Integrations Specialist to join a dynamic federal IT team supporting a major energy and utilities organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL procedures, supporting data migration and warehousing initiatives, and ensuring data integrity across complex systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge data integration tools in a collaborative environment dedicated to innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Draft and maintain ETL procedures, batch processes, and scheduling to implement data integration and migration tasks.
Develop mappings and workflows in Informatica to automate data integration.
Design and optimize databases using Oracle and relational/dimensional modeling techniques for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Implement approved SQL stored procedures, functions, and advanced queries to support operational and analytical needs.
Map source to target data to ensure alignment with business and system requirements.
Assist in drafting functional and technical requirements, migration plans, and test plans for diverse audiences.
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, performance problems, and system integrity concerns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources and maintain comprehensive analytics solutions.
Provide 24x7 rotational production support, on-call backup, and operations support for existing systems.
Document workflows, processes, and technical solutions for maintainability and clarity.
Skills:
Proficiency with ETL tools, preferably Informatica Suite (Power Center, Power Exchange, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g, 12g, 18c, or 19c, including DDL, table partitioning, procedures, functions, and views.
Experience with SQL for stored procedures, advanced queries, and data integration tasks.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and data warehousing design techniques.
Knowledge of XML, REST, XSD, WSDL, and web services integration.
Experience with PowerShell and automation tools for data processing.
Ability to interpret complex datasets and troubleshoot data quality or system performance issues.
Strong documentation skills for functional and technical workflows.
Understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and cross-functional project collaboration.
