Job Description:
The Data Analyst supports enterprise data initiatives through data analysis, mapping, lineage documentation, and metadata management across modern data platforms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
β’ Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents for enterprise data assets
β’ Document data flows, lineage, relationships, and dependencies across systems
β’ Use SQL in Snowflake to analyze datasets for completeness, quality, and business understanding
β’ Validate data transformations and downstream reporting against documented mappings
β’ Publish and maintain metadata, glossary terms, and data definitions in Atlan
β’ Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to align documentation with data models
β’ Support governance, audit readiness, and self-service data discovery through accurate metadata
β’ Contribute to standards and best practices for data documentation and metadata management
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
β’ Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying Snowflake
β’ Experience creating data mapping documents, lineage, and technical data documentation
β’ Familiarity with metadata management and data catalog concepts
β’ Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves:
β’ Experience with Atlan or similar tools such as Collibra or Alation
β’ Experience working with ELT pipelines and Snowflake data warehouses
β’ Familiarity with data governance, data quality, or observability practices
β’ Exposure to AWS-based data ecosystems
β’ Experience supporting enterprise or ERP-driven data platforms
β’ Experience in ETRM and FP&A modeling for Power and Gas
