Role description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a Wildfire Mitigation Program by reviewing, maintaining, and analyzing GIS and database (Access) data. The analyst will ensure data accuracy and completeness before submission to internal teams responsible for installing and maintaining field devices. This role involves supporting new device installations, maintaining existing equipment, validating templates, and managing the Common Device Database. Key Responsibilities • Review, validate, and maintain GIS and database (Access) data for accuracy and completeness. • Support installation and maintenance of field devices by verifying data and templates. • Collaborate with engineers, GIS specialists, project managers, and vendors to resolve data discrepancies. • Manage and maintain the Common Device Database. • Process data requests and ensure accurate submissions to downstream teams. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced data management. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong background in GIS and mapping. • Experience with Access databases and SharePoint. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint). • Effective data analysis and validation skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with distribution management systems (DMS). • Knowledge of advanced database management, process automation, or integration improvements. • Experience in utilities or communications industries. Experience & Education • 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred. • Background in GIS, mapping, or related data analysis fields.
