Data Analyst (Contractor)
We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our clients team in McLean, VA. This role is ideal for a data professional who thrives on translating complex business needs into actionable insights and driving data quality across systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data requirements.
• Conduct detailed data profiling and validation to assess data quality, completeness, and consistency.
• Translate business requirements into clear data specifications for technical teams.
• Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with ETL and Data Warehouse teams to validate data flows and transformations.
• Investigate and perform root cause analysis for data issues, recommending effective solutions.
• Deliver findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Serve as a key liaison between business and IT teams to ensure successful data project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of hands-on SQL experience for data profiling, validation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Mart concepts.
• Familiarity with data management and governance best practices.
• Experience with or knowledge of the mortgage industry is a strong plus
