Job Overview
The Data Analyst transforms raw data into meaningful business insights by developing BI solutions that provide visibility into critical performance metrics. This role delivers reports, dashboards, and data models that support data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth. Strong written and verbal communication is required.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive key business decisions.
β’ KPI Development & Monitoring: Work closely with business leaders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives and ensure the organization is meeting its goals.
β’ Data Modeling & Transformation: Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to design and maintain robust data models, ensuring data is structured for optimal reporting and analysis.
β’ Data-Driven Strategy: Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings to improve business processes, increase efficiency, and support strategic initiatives.
β’ Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams such as product management, marketing, and operations to understand business requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions that address specific needs.
β’ Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to urgent business needs by conducting ad-hoc analyses and delivering insights in a timely manner to support critical decision-making.
β’ BI Reporting Creation: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to provide real-time insights to business partners.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ 2 years of experience in a BI or data analytics role.
β’ Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication; ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
β’ BI Tools Expertise: Proficiency in BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other data visualization tools.
β’ SQL & Data Querying: Solid understanding of SQL for querying databases and performing data extractions to support BI initiatives.
β’ Data Modeling: Experience with building and maintaining data models for BI reporting, including working with star and snowflake schemas.
β’ Data Analysis Techniques: Proven understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive analytics methods to derive actionable insights.
β’ Storytelling with Data: Ability to convey complex data insights through clear visualizations and narratives, ensuring partners can easily interpret and act on the information.
β’ Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance standard methodologies, including data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy regulations like CCPA.
β’ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
β’ Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data pipelines and ETL processes is preferred.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
β’ Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand data flows and business concepts.
