Role description
SC-Cleared Data Analyst (Discovery Project) £325–£350/day | Outside IR35 UK-based | Fully remote Initial 2–3 months, strong extension potential Start date: ideally 26 January We’re looking for an SC-cleared Data Analyst to support an initial discovery phase for a large, UK-based organisation undergoing early planning for a multi-year data and infrastructure programme. This is a short, well-defined discovery engagement with a strong chance of extension till end of 2026 if the initial phase lands well. The focus is on understanding the current data landscape and supporting recommendations for future investment and roadmap planning. The role You’ll join a small discovery team including strategy, delivery, and business case specialists. Your role will be to support the discovery with analysis, documentation, and insight rather than owning overall strategy. Key responsibilities • Mapping and documenting existing data sources and databases • Supporting analysis across multiple systems and datasets • Helping prioritise data sources based on usage, value, and need • Contributing to early-stage data roadmaps (short- and longer-term) • Producing clear, structured outputs to support wider recommendations • Working closely with consultants and delivery leads during discovery Required experience • Active SC clearance (essential) • 2–4 years’ experience in a data analyst or junior data consultant role • Strong SQL and Excel skills • Experience with Python and/or common BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) • Comfortable working with complex or legacy data environments • Able to clearly document and explain data findings • Experience supporting discovery, assessment, or audit-style work is a plus Working pattern • UK-based contractor • Fully remote in practice, with minimal onsite likely (if any) Rate and contract • £325–£350 per day • Outside IR35 • Initial 2–3 month contract • Strong likelihood of extension into longer-term work Interviews are happening this coming Friday, get in touch now!
