Role description
Pathfinder Consultants is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Washington, DC. Pathfinder is looking for a candidate to fill a Data Analyst position on a contract supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS). This is a short-term position.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidate shall have a minimum of two (2) years experience with the following:
Experience using Pivot tables, including analyzing data to create the pivot tables
Experience using Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Experience/knowledge of Power BI
Knowledge and experience of SharePoint Online, connecting data using Excel or Microsoft 365 then auto populate into Power BI
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Must have a strong analytical background
Must have knowledge and experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas in Power BI.
Demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
This position will be client-facing so being able to interact with the customers who may not have as much knowledge or experience with Power BI and Pivot Tables is helpful.
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Responsibilities and Duties:
Possesses demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of analytic methodologies and principles to address client needs, evaluate project objectives and contribute to the implementation of strategic direction.
Performs analyst functions including data collection, interviewing, data modeling, research and other analyst duties as assigned including support for surveying efforts.
Additional duties may include use of tools, analysis, budgeting, cost control, statistical process control, risk modeling and analysis.
Conducts activities in support of project teamβs objectives.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Works closely with senior program and other project team members.
Experience using/creating Pivot Tables
Experience using Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Experience/knowledge of Power BI
Knowledge and experience of SharePoint Online, connecting data using Excel or Microsoft 365 then auto populate into Power BI
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Other duties as assigned
