Role description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong Accounting/Finance background to join our team. This role serves as a key partner to our Accounting department and Controller, providing data-driven insights and rapid analytical support for audits, reporting, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in SQL and Power BI with a solid understanding of financial principles and exceptional interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform detailed data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends across multiple data sources.
β’ Develop and run moderately complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data in support of audit and finance requests.
β’ Provide rapid-response data support for high-priority audit and business inquiries.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Controller and Finance Leadership, maintaining professionalism and strong communication when working independently.
β’ Build and enhance Power BI models and dashboards to support reporting and business insights.
β’ Operate effectively in a dynamic, relationship-focused environment with limited structure, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
β’ Preferred β POS, Distribution, or B2B industry. (Industries and organization with operating models totally unrelated like healthcare or insurance wonβt be a good fit).
β’ Preferred β Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform
Work onsite at least two days per week (preferably Tuesday/Thursday) in our Portland office.
