Data Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong Accounting/Finance background to join our team. This role serves as a key partner to our Accounting department and Controller, providing data-driven insights and rapid analytical support for audits, reporting, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in SQL and Power BI with a solid understanding of financial principles and exceptional interpersonal abilities. Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends across multiple data sources. • Develop and run moderately complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data in support of audit and finance requests. • Provide rapid-response data support for high-priority audit and business inquiries. • Collaborate closely with the Controller and Finance Leadership, maintaining professionalism and strong communication when working independently. • Build and enhance Power BI models and dashboards to support reporting and business insights. • Operate effectively in a dynamic, relationship-focused environment with limited structure, demonstrating initiative and adaptability. • Preferred – POS, Distribution, or B2B industry. (Industries and organization with operating models totally unrelated like healthcare or insurance won’t be a good fit). • Preferred – Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform Work onsite at least two days per week (preferably Tuesday/Thursday) in our Portland office.
