Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Credit Decisioning (Python / Banking) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with strong Python expertise and banking domain knowledge to support credit decisioning and marketing initiatives. This role bridges business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions that improve decision logic and customer targeting. Key Responsibilities โ€ข Analyze non-IT business problems and identify process improvement opportunities โ€ข Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements and technical specifications โ€ข Maintain and enhance credit card decisioning logic through ticket-based workflows โ€ข Implement and validate rules within Credit Karma's interface โ€ข Develop ROI frameworks and business cases to evaluate proposed investments โ€ข Document current and future state processes and ensure alignment across stakeholders โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize decision strategies Day in the Life โ€ข Manage incoming requests to update credit card and loan decisioning logic โ€ข Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and implement solutions โ€ข Write and validate Python-based rules and data transformations โ€ข Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for Credit Karma rule logic Qualifications โ€ข Strong Python development (pandas, NumPy, DataFrames) โ€ข Experience with SQL (preferred) โ€ข Knowledge of U.S. banking products, especially credit cards and credit reporting โ€ข Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and automation workflows โ€ข Experience in ticket-based environments (Jira, ServiceNow) โ€ข Exposure to Experian PowerCurve or similar decisioning tools (plus) Additional Details โ€ข Remote (U.S.-based required) โ€ข Collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture โ€ข Panel interview with technical peers and partners Condensed Version (Under 200 Words) We're hiring a Senior Data Analyst with strong Python and U.S. banking experience to support credit decisioning for credit cards and consumer loans. This role focuses on implementing and optimizing decision logic within Credit Karma's platform. Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, improving processes, managing ticket-based requests, and translating stakeholder needs into Python-based decision rules. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build, validate, and deploy logic that aligns with credit policy and marketing goals. Key skills: Python (pandas, NumPy, DataFrames), SQL (preferred), and experience with CI/CD, Git, and automation workflows. Strong understanding of U.S. credit products and credit reporting data is required. Experience in Jira/ServiceNow environments is highly preferred; exposure to Experian PowerCurve is a plus. This is a remote U.S.-based role with a collaborative team environment and structured onboarding for Credit Karma rules.
