Role description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Data Team on a fixed term contract to support a major data migration programme within our Wealth Management business. This role will work closely with data and business stakeholders to analyse data, validate migration outputs, and produce high quality Power BI reporting to visualise progress, quality, and business impact.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data is accurately migrated, well understood, and clearly represented through meaningful insights and dashboards.

Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions. Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.

What will I be doing?
• Support data migration workstream throughout the data migration lifecycle, from discovery through to validation and post-migration assurance.
• Analyse source and target datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation between legacy and new systems.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to track migration progress, data quality, and business KPIs.
• Work with business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualisations.
• Assist in defining data rules, mapping logic, and validation criteria.
• Support testing phases including UAT by providing data insights and validation support.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to communicate risks, issues, and progress.
Skills and experience
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within financial services or wealth management.
• Strong data analysis skills using SQL and/or other data querying tools.
• Experience working on data migration or large-scale data transformation projects.
• Advanced experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and validation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Where will I be working?
We are looking for someone to be based out of our Whiteley and offer hybrid working, which includes 2 days in the office, with the remainder at home. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for.
