Role description
FedTec is seeking Data Analyst/Report Writer (Informatica MDM) Location: 4900 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78751 Job Overview: FedTec is seeking experienced Data Analyst/Report Writer 3 professionals to support critical Data Management Services as part of the agency's transition from legacy systems to a modernized platform. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant data to support DFPS’s child welfare and adult protection programs. The Data Analyst will work collaboratively with internal data teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct data profiling, identify anomalies, lead remediation efforts, and implement data quality rules and monitoring processes. Responsibilities include generating data quality assessments, conducting root cause analyses, and supporting ongoing data cleanup and governance initiatives. Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years of experience with Informatica tools (IDMC, CDI, CDQ, MDM), strong data profiling and cleansing skills, and a proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, Agile environments. Prior experience in child welfare or case management systems is preferred. Responsibilities: Β· Knowledge of data catalog, IDMC, CDI, CDQ, Informatica MDM, Reference data management. Β· Data Profiling skills, especially using Informatica IDQ (on-prem as well CDQ: cloud data quality). Β· Data Cleansing skills, especially using Informatica IDMC toolkit (that covers both on-prem as well as cloud-based data stores and databases). Β· Experience working independently with minimal supervision; ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and directional changes under short and firm deadlines. Β· Experience in Agile environment. Β· Strong analytical, trouble shotting and problem-solving skills in data related projects. Β· Advanced interpersonal skills to collaborate with SMEs to validate data issues. Β· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience. Required Skills & Education: Β· Experience with child welfare case management systems and Data domain surrounding child welfare case management systems.
