Role description
Position Summary Contractor Remote Work you'll do The Data Analytics Storyteller/Marketing Contractor will support in delivering insight-led marketing and client lifecycle analytics. This role focuses on translating complex data into actionable recommendations, partnering with stakeholders to scope analytics needs, and developing presentations, dashboards, and visual narratives that support business decisions and growth. Key Responsibilities • Analyze marketing and client data to uncover trends, patterns, opportunities, and performance insights. • Translate complex datasets into digestible, insight-led stories with clear business recommendations. • Partner with marketers and stakeholders to define project scope, business questions, KPIs, and measurement approaches. • Develop presentations, dashboards, infographics, and other client-ready materials that communicate insights effectively. • Synthesize data from multiple sources, including CRM, digital, social, content marketing, finance, and customer data. • Evaluate marketing strategy inputs such as target audience, content strategy, channel performance, and investment impact. • Identify growth opportunities and provide recommendations aligned to business and marketing priorities. • Support strategic conversations with stakeholders by connecting data insights to decision-making needs. • Recommend effective data visualizations and storytelling approaches tailored to executive and business audiences. • Monitor and flag data quality issues to improve confidence in reporting and analysis. • Identify emerging measurement needs, trends, and process improvement opportunities across the business. • Conduct external research and trend analysis to supplement internal findings where relevant. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, data storytelling, or related disciplines. • Strong experience turning complex data into executive-ready insights and recommendations. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain logic and reasoning clearly. • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including strong executive presence. • Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments, ideally within a large professional services firm or global organization. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. • Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik. • Experience with web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics. • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms, preferably Eloqua or Salesforce. • Proficiency in statistical methods such as regression, clustering, and other advanced analytical techniques. • Strong understanding of B2B marketing strategy, performance measurement, and marketing KPIs. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting senior stakeholders with insight development and strategic recommendations. • Familiarity with attribution modeling, collaborative filtering, or other advanced marketing analytics methods. • Experience using project management platforms such as Workfront. • Strong editorial judgment and ability to build polished, client-ready content. This is a Part Time role (4 hours a day/20 hours a week) The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70 - $80 per hour will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
