Data Analytics Contractor

CSI Companies is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Contractor with deep experience in investment management data, analytics, and data profiling. This role supports the MVP scoping, data profiling, architecture, and modeling workstreams for investment management initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level analytics consultant who can operate independently, translate complex data into actionable insights, and contribute to strategic implementation planning. You will lead data analyses, profile critical data elements, manage issue and gap tracking, support architecture and modeling initiatives, and draft key inputs for implementation roadmaps and engagement documentation in a fast-paced consulting environment. Hours: Standard business hours Location: Remote (up to 10% travel) Pay: $53/hr+ based on relevant experience, education, and credentials Position Type: Consultant – No C2C Work Authorization: Visas are acceptable (any EAD). Candidates must be eligible to work on W2 and must not require sponsorship for at least 6–12 months. What you’ll do: • Support and contribute to MVP scoping activities through detailed data analysis • Execute data profiling on critical fields across investment management data sources • Maintain and manage the issue/gap register to track risks, data quality concerns, and open items • Provide analytical support to architecture and data modeling workstreams • Partner with senior consultants and stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions • Draft inputs for implementation roadmaps, executive-ready materials, and engagement documentation • Identify data inconsistencies, risks, and improvement opportunities What we’re looking for: • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data profiling, or data consulting roles • Strong familiarity with investment management concepts and related data domains • Experience supporting architecture, modeling, or data transformation initiatives • Ability to synthesize findings into clear documentation and roadmap inputs • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills • Proven ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment Nice to have: • Experience working on MVP builds or phased implementation programs • Consulting background within financial services • Experience with data governance frameworks or issue tracking processes • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), or similar analytics platforms Who Should Apply?
