Data Analytics Engineer – Contract
Location: Remote (UK-based), ideally able to attend London office 1–2 days/week
Rate: (Inside IR35)
Start: Within 2 weeks (Max)
Need dbt, Looker/LookML, and BigQuery experience. Client is only open for candidate who lives near London and can work 1 or 2 day in office.

Must-Have Skills
• Expert SQL – window functions, CTEs, advanced aggregations, warehouse-specific optimisation
• dbt expertise – models, macros, tests, documentation, exposures, CI/CD
• Google BigQuery (or equivalent cloud warehouse) – query optimisation, incremental strategies, cost management
• Dimensional modelling – star schemas, SCDs, denormalisation strategies
• Looker/LookML (or equivalent BI layer) – consumption-layer design and optimisation
Role Responsibilities
• Design and build well-tested dbt models and the LookML layer on top
• Scope requirements with stakeholders and translate domain logic into robust, documented models
• Conduct code reviews and uphold modelling, testing, and documentation standards
• Support and coach data analysts contributing to Looker and dbt
• Drive data quality and reliability, proactively spotting and fixing issues before they reach stakeholders
• Work with a mission-driven HealthTech company helping people live healthier, longer lives
• Collaborate with a team at the forefront of digital healthcare innovation
