Role:Data Analytics Engineer / Data Analyst (Microsoft BI Stack) Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Contractor Role(Hybrid) Position Summary We’re seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer/Data Analyst with deep expertise in the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) to design, build, validate, and maintain data marts and databases that power business operations. You’ll own data design and architecture, metadata management, dashboard/report development, and ongoing performance monitoring and optimization. You’ll also create DRD/ER diagrams for new and existing solutions. Key Responsibilities • Develop, validate, and maintain data marts and databases for analytics use cases. • Design and implement data models, database architecture, and metadata repositories. • Build interactive dashboards and reports using SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Power BI. • Perform ETL using SSIS (import, transform, and load). • Optimize and troubleshoot SSRS reports, SSAS cubes, and data models for performance. • Monitor report/dashboard pipelines for accuracy, reliability, and availability. • Execute corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure platform stability. • Create DRD/ER diagrams for new and existing dashboards/solutions. • Stay current with BI/data analytics best practices and industry trends. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field. • 8+ years building and managing data analytics platforms. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS). • Advanced SQL development for querying and database management. • Hands-on SSIS ETL experience; strong reporting using Excel and Access (or similar). • Solid foundation in database fundamentals, data modeling, and data warehouse design. • Experience developing reports and dashboards in SSRS and Power BI. • Knowledge of cloud data platforms is a plus. • Databricks experience is a plus. ✅ Preferred Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration. • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work Arrangement • Hybrid with on-site presence at our home office ~50%. • Typical cadence: 2 days on-site one week, 3 days on-site the next (alternating).
