Data Analytics Engineer - Microsoft Fabric - GC Holders or US Citizens
Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in either Chicago, Houston or Dallas
Contract: 6-month initial, potential to go full-time after.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Data Integration & Architecture: Design, implement, and enhance data pipelines to ensure the seamless incorporation of data sources into Microsoft Fabric.
β’ Advanced Analytics: Leverage the advanced analytics capabilities of Microsoft Fabric to analyze extensive datasets and derive actionable insights for business functions.
β’ Data Quality & Governance: Uphold rigorous data management standards, including data cleansing, validation, and governance.
β’ Automation & Optimization: Create and automate data workflows to boost performance and efficiency within analytics and reporting processes.
β’ Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
β’ Reporting & Visualization: Develop dashboards, reports, and visual representations to facilitate strategic decision-making and monitor KPIs.
β’ Cloud & On-Prem Integration: Utilize Microsoft Azure and other cloud solutions to establish hybrid data architectures, ensuring smooth data transitions across diverse environments.
β’ Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of the latest trends in data analytics and engineering, especially regarding Microsoft Fabric, and propose enhancements to systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Experience:
β’ Over 3 years of experience in data analytics engineering, primarily focused on data pipeline development, integration, and cloud technologies.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Fabric and its related tools (Power BI, Data Lake, Data Factory, etc.).
β’ Familiarity with Azure services (such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics) is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
β’ Proficient in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
β’ Knowledgeable in ETL processes, data warehousing, and best practices in data governance.
β’ Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions, including data lakes and data warehouses.
β’ Skilled in Power BI or comparable visualization tools for reporting and analytics.
Soft Skills:
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
β’ Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
