Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and expertise across modern data engineering and analytics tools. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable advanced analytics and reporting through BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, Looker, and Python. This role bridges data engineering and analytics, ensuring reliable, accurate, and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and data products within the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) ecosystem.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools like Dataflow, Dataform, and Matillion (optional) to ingest and transform data from a variety of sources.
• Leverage Google BigQuery to model, store, and deliver data for analytics and advanced business intelligence applications.
• Develop and maintain compelling analytics solutions for BI and data visualization platforms such as Quick Suite or Looker.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical design specifications and discovery documentation.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested application software, including SQL scripts and procedures, ensuring it meets functional and performance requirements.
• Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data and application issues, providing post-implementation and rotational on-call support to ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
• Partner with external vendors on co-development initiatives to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with the Information Engineering Technical Lead and team members regarding project status, risks, and concerns.
• Ensure all solutions are compliant with departmental SOPs and contribute to process improvements.
