Job Title: Data & Analytics Specialist IV Location: Cambridge, MA 02142 Duration: 6+ month contract (potential extension or conversion) Pay Rate: $40.18 – $61.57/hour Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, Vision coverage Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Cambridge Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Data Architect with expertise in data architecture, governance, and AI enablement. This role is central to ensuring enterprise data is properly modeled, governed, and optimized for use in advanced analytics and AI solutions. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with platforms such as Tellius, along with an understanding of how AI and GenAI systems consume, process, and apply data. This position requires a balance of technical depth and governance insight. You will collaborate with Brand Data Leads, data engineers, and analytics teams to design scalable and compliant data architectures that power AI-driven products and insights. Key Responsibilities • Partner with AI platform teams to align on data needs, flows, processing methods, and usage. • Design and oversee enterprise data architectures supporting analytics, AI, and GenAI capabilities. • Define and enforce governance rules, access controls, and compliance frameworks for data usage. • Map, monitor, and maintain data flows, including transformations, lineage, and downstream impact. • Develop and manage semantic layers, data models, and metadata to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Embed governance checks and quality controls into data pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams. • Review and approve new data integrations, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards. • Validate AI data readiness, ensuring quality, structure, and compliance before model training or deployment. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry. • Proven background in data governance and architecture, with experience managing enterprise-scale solutions. • Strong skills in data modeling, metadata management, and lineage tracking. • Hands-on experience with AI or advanced analytics tools (preferably Tellius). • Ability to define and implement governance, compliance, and access controls across data landscapes. • Familiarity with data pipelines, transformations, and integration design. • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally. • Understanding of AI/GenAI practices, including model input requirements, training data preparation, and responsible AI principles. • Experience conducting data readiness assessments for AI projects, including quality and compliance reviews. • Knowledge of data privacy regulations as applied to AI and analytics use cases.
