Role description

Responsibilities
β’ Architect and code data structure from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake, DBT, and Tableau
β’ Implement best practices for the data platform that provides maintainability, reliability, and efficiency
β’ Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake using DBT
β’ Exercise best practices in optimal data modeling for nonuniform sets of data
β’ Provide best practices for source code control with Github
β’ Design and maintain data security access controls
β’ Develop SQL, HTML, and/or JavaScript code to optimize the stack or to generate views for visualization
β’ Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to respective stakeholders
β’ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers
Qualifications
β’ BS in Computer Science; emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus
β’ 10β12 years of data engineering development and visualization experience
β’ 8β10 years of data warehouse experience (Snowflake DWH preferred)
β’ 8β10 years of SQL experience (Snowflake SQL preferred)
β’ 4β6 years of dbt Cloud experience; semantic layer experience is a plus
β’ 3β5 years of experience with Github
β’ 3β5 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack
β’ 3β5 years of building Tableau data sources and dashboards
β’ 2+ years of Python development
β’ HTML and JavaScript experience as it relates to Looker preferred
β’ Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, Jira, Adaptive, Anaplan
β’ Fluent written and verbal communication skills
