Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Architect to lead the design, development, and management of data solutions within the Healthcare Payer domain. This pivotal role involves crafting scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support complex analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes. As a Data Architect, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate healthcare data requirements into robust technical solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices. Duties
Design and develop comprehensive data architecture frameworks tailored to healthcare payer operations, including data models, schemas, and metadata management.
Lead the integration of diverse data sources such as NoSQL databases, relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, as well as big data platforms like Hadoop and Spark.
Architect scalable data pipelines using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes with tools like Informatica and scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell).
Implement cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS and Azure services including Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory to enhance data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities.
Develop and maintain secure data warehouses that support complex analytics initiatives while ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy standards.
Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver iterative enhancements to data systems, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
Promote best practices in database design, data modeling, linked data principles, and big data management to optimize performance and scalability.
Utilize programming languages such as Java and Python for custom data processing tasks and automation workflows.
Support advanced analytics initiatives by enabling efficient access to structured and unstructured healthcare data for predictive modeling and insights.
Qualifications
Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale data architectures within the healthcare payer or related domains.
Strong proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Spark), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Expertise in data modeling techniques including conceptual, logical, and physical models aligned with healthcare standards.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica or similar platforms; scripting skills in Bash or Python are highly desirable.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Azure Data Lake, and related frameworks for managing large-scale datasets.
Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to ensure compliant data architecture design.
Strong understanding of database design principles, linked data concepts, and analytics-driven architecture development.
