We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern, scalable enterprise data ecosystems. This is a strategic role where you will drive data architecture vision, enable cloud transformation, and support advanced analytics and real-time data capabilities.
You will work at the forefront of enterprise data modernisation, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to design high-performing data platforms that power strategic decision-making and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise data ecosystems using Microsoft Azure and Databricks
• Lead the architecture and implementation of modern data platforms, including Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions
• Define and deliver architecture for data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, batch and streaming data processing, and API-driven data services
• Establish and enforce enterprise data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
• Drive strategies across data governance, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data quality
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to align data strategies with business and technology roadmaps
• Provide architectural oversight for cloud security, compliance, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost optimisation
• Lead architecture reviews, design governance, and technical mentoring across data teams
• Champion the adoption of modern cloud-native and data engineering frameworks across programmes
What We’re Looking For
• Extensive experience in enterprise data architecture and large-scale data transformation initiatives
• Strong expertise in designing cloud-based data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Databricks
• Proven track record in delivering modern data architectures including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and real-time analytics solutions
• Strong understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed data processing technologies
• Deep knowledge of data governance, MDM, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
• Experience implementing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud data solutions
• Strong leadership capability with experience in architecture governance, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent communication and strategic planning skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
