Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer III

Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer III (Onsite – Cincinnati, OH) Primary Location: Cincinnati, OH V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring a Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer III to modernize and build data integrations and data product offerings supporting Disputes Operations. Must Have • Business Intelligence (BI) - Data Engineering • Elevate & DBT • ETL (DataStage) • Kafka • Snowflake Education and Experience » • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or BI/data integration roles. • Proven experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL). • Hands-on expertise with ETL tools such as IBM DataStage. • Experience designing for cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP). • Familiarity with Kafka for streaming/big data pipelines. • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java (Scripting in SAS or SQL is a plus). • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/MettleCI) and version control (GitHub). • Experience in financial institutions or other highly regulated industries is a plus. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver data-driven solutions. Preferred » • Experience developing modern data pipelines and data products. • Familiarity with DBT, Elevate, and other BI/data engineering tools. • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices. • Experience with Agile/SAFe frameworks and working in collaborative squads. • Exposure to big data analytics environments and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
