Job Title: Data Architect (Hybrid)Location: Milwaukie, OR (Local – within 100 miles, 1 day/week onsite at OLCC HQ)Duration: 8 MonthsInterview: Likely webcam + in-person (per State norms)Pay Rate: $100/hr C2C / 1099 OR $90/hr W2 Role Summary The Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC) seeks a Data Architect to design, model, and analyze enterprise data solutions. This role involves data modeling, SQL development, statistical analysis, and reporting, while collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with organizational needs. Key Responsibilities Research and evaluate data sources for reliability, accuracy, and usability. Apply sampling techniques and statistical methods to solve business/industry problems. Develop data models, integration plans, and warehouse structures to support analytics. Write SQL queries, JSON scripts, and ETL logic for reporting and data flows. Create dashboards/reports (Crystal Reports, MS Office tools) for business stakeholders. Provide guidance on data governance, architecture best practices, and strategy. Train/mentor team members in data analysis, modeling, and reporting. Required Skills 4–6 years: Data Analysis, Data Modeling, SQL, JSON 4–6 years: Communication, teamwork, learning ability (soft skills emphasized heavily by State clients). 3+ years: MySQL experience Experience with: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Linux, Crystal Reports, ADO.NET, Data Warehousing Strong presentation and documentation skills.
