Senior Cloud Data Architect – San Jose, CA Role Summar yThe Senior Cloud Data Architect is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing and optimizing Azure-based cloud data architectures supporting analytics, AI, and enterprise intelligence. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, including 3+ years in cloud data architecture, with strong expertise in Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL .The role focuses heavily on data lakehouse/warehouse architecture, metadata management, data governance, lineage, schema design, and data modeling. Candidates should have experience with tools such as Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or DataHub, along with hands-on experience designing distributed data pipelines, optimizing performance and cost, and implementing CI/CD, observability, and schema evolution .The candidate must also be strong in architecture documentation and visualization, including data-flow diagrams, logical/physical data models, system blueprints, and architecture decision documentation using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io .
