Data Architect

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data modeling, database design, and big data technologies, with expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our data infrastructure, enabling advanced analytics and business insights across the organization. The Data Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support our strategic objectives. Duties Design and develop comprehensive data architectures aligning with business needs and technical standards. Lead the creation of data models, data warehouses, and data lakes utilizing technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, Spark, and Oracle. Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like Informatica, SQL, Bash (Unix shell), and other scripting languages to ensure seamless data integration. Implement NoSQL databases and manage big data platforms to support high-volume, unstructured data storage solutions. Collaborate with development teams to implement database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases. Establish best practices for database design, data governance, security, and compliance across cloud environments like AWS and Azure. Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and ensure project milestones are met efficiently. Engage in continuous evaluation of emerging technologies such as Linked Data, Hadoop ecosystem components, and analytics tools to enhance our data infrastructure. Provide technical guidance on data modeling, database design, and analytics strategies to stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role with a strong portfolio of designing large-scale data solutions. Expertise in NoSQL databases, Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Spark), SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), and Big Data technologies. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure (Azure Data Lake, Azure). Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Bash (Unix shell), with a focus on data processing frameworks like Spark. Strong knowledge of data modeling principles, ETL processes, database design, and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies for project management and delivery. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
