Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a modern data ecosystem within a growing, technology-driven organization. This role will play a critical part in establishing scalable architecture, improving data integrity and enabling more efficient product development through well-structured data systems. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with broad visibility across engineering and business teams, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping long-term architecture while solving complex data challenges. Key Responsibilities • Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards and best practices • Design and optimize data models, storage systems and data flows to support scalability and performance • Lead development and enhancement of data warehouse solutions • Identify and reduce inefficiencies across data systems, including duplication and performance bottlenecks • Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to align architecture with business needs • Evaluate current-state systems and recommend improvements to support future growth and stability • Establish guidelines for data governance, quality and consistency Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in data architecture or related roles • Experience designing and implementing data warehouse solutions • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles • Experience improving performance and scalability of data systems • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly Preferred Qualifications • Experience with multiple database technologies (any major RDBMS) • Exposure to distributed systems or broader architecture domains (application, infrastructure, integration) • Familiarity with modern reporting or visualization tools • Experience working in high-growth or evolving technical environments Additional Details This role will initially focus on assessing the current environment and identifying opportunities to improve structure, performance and scalability. The position requires a thoughtful, systems-oriented mindset and the ability to balance strategic planning with practical execution.
