Role description
Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Analyst to fill an open position with one of our clients.
This role joins the Mastered Data Product team, a group dedicated to driving data excellence by aggregating and normalizing foundational financial data. The Data Analyst will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of mastered data related to loans and leases. Itβs an exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to data governance, completeness controls, and process modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
β’ Conduct data quality assessments and identify anomalies across financial domains.
β’ Define and implement data logic and decision rules to support business and reporting needs.
β’ Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage documentation for clarity and consistency.
β’ Lead completeness control efforts and ensure data alignment with source systems and reporting outputs.
β’ Write SQL queries to validate data, support reporting needs, and design quality control points.
β’ Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve issues and improve data processes.
β’ Develop KPIs and monitor data quality and issue resolution progress.
β’ Lead Agile stories, support backlog grooming, and contribute to sprint planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
β’ 3+ years of experience in data quality, governance, or management (banking experience a plus).
β’ Bachelorβs degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
β’ Proficient in SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and Excel.
β’ Experience with relational and non-relational databases; Snowflake and DBT preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification a plus).
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
β’ Experience in Agile or SAFe environments.
β’ Self-motivated and collaborative with a passion for data excellence.
