Data Assurance Analyst

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Analyst to fill an open position with one of our clients. This role joins the Mastered Data Product team, a group dedicated to driving data excellence by aggregating and normalizing foundational financial data. The Data Analyst will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of mastered data related to loans and leases. It’s an exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to data governance, completeness controls, and process modernization efforts. Responsibilities: • Conduct data quality assessments and identify anomalies across financial domains. • Define and implement data logic and decision rules to support business and reporting needs. • Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage documentation for clarity and consistency. • Lead completeness control efforts and ensure data alignment with source systems and reporting outputs. • Write SQL queries to validate data, support reporting needs, and design quality control points. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve issues and improve data processes. • Develop KPIs and monitor data quality and issue resolution progress. • Lead Agile stories, support backlog grooming, and contribute to sprint planning. The Ideal Candidate: • 3+ years of experience in data quality, governance, or management (banking experience a plus). • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. • Proficient in SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and Excel. • Experience with relational and non-relational databases; Snowflake and DBT preferred. • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification a plus). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience in Agile or SAFe environments. • Self-motivated and collaborative with a passion for data excellence.
