Data Automation Consultant

Long-term contract opportunity Fully remote Strictly no third parties / C2C Candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future cannot be considered We are seeking a Data Automation & Analytics Specialist to support a large-scale data platform modernization initiative. This is a highly consultative, hands-on role focused on automation strategy, workflow optimization, and scalable data solutions. This is NOT a reporting-only / dashboard-heavy position. We are looking for someone who can assess current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and actively build automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze complex data workflows and identify automation opportunities • Design and build scalable automation solutions for data pipelines and operational processes • Work with multi-source data integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT workflows, and cloud platforms • Partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders to support modernization efforts • Create repeatable, scalable, and well-documented automation patterns • Support future-state platform enablement initiatives Required Experience: • Strong experience with workflow automation in enterprise environments • Hands-on experience with Python and/or automation tools such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, etc. • Strong SQL and data integration experience (APIs, ETL/ELT, pipelines) • Experience working with cloud-based data environments • Ability to operate independently and solve ambiguous problems in a consultative capacity Nice to Have: • Azure ecosystem experience (ADF, Synapse, Databricks) • Power BI / visualization exposure • Platform modernization or transformation initiative experience
