About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Data Business Analyst to join HSBC. The work and output will directly enable and drive new data pipelines to create AI/ML powered insights and signals for the Markets & Securities business.This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions. You will analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to unlock revenue growth opportunities and remediate gaps related to model risk policy requirements on data documentation and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
β’ Business Requirements: Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with data solutions.
β’ Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and QlikView.
β’ Data Quality Assurance: Implement validation and cleansing processes to ensure data integrity.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with FO quants, IT, finance, and operations teams to support data-driven initiatives.
β’ Process Improvement: Recommend data-driven solutions to enhance business performance.
β’ Project Management: Manage data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and governance compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
β’ Education: Bachelorβs degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Masterβs preferred).
β’ Experience: Prior experience in data analysis and business analysis.
β’ Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, QlikView).
β’ Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
β’ Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
β’ Team Player: Collaborative mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities.
