Role description
We are looking for a Data Business Intelligence (BI) Architect to bridge the gap between technical data solutions and business objectives. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the overall data strategy, ensuring that organizational data is accessible, reliable, and secure for analysis and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting data solutions that enable descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications, including data source identification. β€’ Data Architecture & Modeling: Architect and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions including data warehouses, lakes, and marts. Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models. β€’ Tool & Platform Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and visualization platforms that align with enterprise architecture and business needs. β€’ ETL/ELT Pipeline Management: Design, develop, and test data pipelines and integrations to move and transform data from multiple sources into the data warehouse. β€’ Data Catalog & Metadata Management: Create and maintain an enterprise-wide data catalog, automate metadata ingestion, establish data dictionaries, and ensure proper documentation. β€’ Data Governance & Discovery: Enforce governance policies, ensure data quality, security, and compliance. Curate and organize data assets for self-service discovery. β€’ Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize BI systems and data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. β€’ Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship across teams, defining best practices for data management and BI development. Environment / Technology Stack (examples): β€’ Data Platforms: AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, S3, ADLS β€’ Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB β€’ BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, Looker, Crystal Reports β€’ ETL/ELT: Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow, dbt, Talend, Fivetran β€’ Big Data & Analytics: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn β€’ Programming & APIs: SQL, Python, R, XML β€’ Modeling Tools: MS Visio, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner Work Requirement: Must be able to be on-site a minimum of two days per week.
