We are looking for a Data Cleanse Specialist with experience in federal financial management and data governance to support a high-impact modernization project for a large federal agency. This position is responsible for ensuring that financial data is accurate, complete, and in compliance with federal reporting, internal control, and system implementation requirements. The candidate will support the customer by leading and coordinating activities related to data cleanse execution, validation, and reconciliation. This includes identifying and resolving data anomalies, standardizing data structures, and ensuring all adjustments are traceable for audit purposes. The candidate will work collaboratively with technical, functional, and audit teams to help enforce consistent data standards to support audit readiness and data integrity.
We are seeking candidates for a full-time remote position, with potential opportunities for onsite work in the future. We are looking to staff this position in Q2 2026.
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Execute data cleanse and validation strategies against legacy financial data
β’ Collaborate with a variety of teams, including technical resources, end user groups, and stakeholders to review and confirm data cleanse requirements and methodologies
β’ Develop briefings, white papers and other materials to enhance leadership and field level understanding of data cleanse activities, status and/or issues
β’ Analyze, execute, and enhance data cleanse strategy to ensure financial data supports audit readiness and is prepared for transition to target financial system
β’ Design and develop metrics, reports, and/or dashboards for reporting data cleanse progress
β’ Perform analysis on financial data to identify additional opportunities for data cleansing
β’ Attend and play an active role in meetings with client stakeholders
β’ Demonstrate agility, flexibility, broad support, commitment to customer satisfaction, responsiveness to contract requirements and proactive qualities
β’ Conduct analysis on problems independently, research and recommend solutions, and execute resolution steps to address client issues
Minimum Requirements:
β’ Bachelorβs degree
β’ 8+ yearsβ experience as a program analyst supporting system implementation and/or data cleanse/management efforts
β’ Strong understanding of federal financial reporting and accounting processes and expertise in managing or working with outstanding obligations, unliquidated obligations, and open financial system transactions
β’ Hands-on experience with Financial ERP systems, specifically with CGIβs Federal Financial System (FFS) and Momentum
β’ Ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior level management and clients
β’ Expert in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to application of formulas, macros, filtering, pivot tables, graphs and charts
β’ Strong analytical stills
β’ Strong written and oral communication skills
β’ An outstanding ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
β’ Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ VA or Federal experience preferred
